Each time you struggle to articulate your ideas, it’s mostly because of the words that elude you. A bad vocabulary is okay but what happens when a word fails to flash in your mind. You know it, you have used it before but you can’t remember it at that moment.

Such situations are common. And I have always wondered why this happens. I’m not sure how I progress from being forgetful to absolutely blanking out in these moments. Life’s like that. And if you don’t jog your memory often, your cache fades. Perhaps that’s why some people remember names better and some don’t.

Think about a life full of memories. It would be unbearable. Guess that’s why bouts of memory loss are good. That’s how one is left speechless. Being speechless is good. But sometimes you maybe rendered speechless by everything around you. And no matter what you do, there is no way for you to speak or speak up. In such times, being without speech is equivalent to being strangulated to death. Suffocation builds in to the point where death seems less anguishing.
