Explore Mumbai With Me

In this new year, I have decided to lead more heritage and experiential walks across various neighbourhoods of Mumbai for small groups of students, tourists and of course, Mumbaikars.

In these walks my focus will be on bringing out the past alive through stories, anecdotes and historical references. However, I believe that our city is a living, breathing entity and thus it is my constant endeavour to weave the past with the present.

All my walks are thoroughly researched by referencing various official documents, history books and accounts of travellers. I continue to build upon my body of research by continuously reading up the available literature in both English and Marathi.

Some of the neighbourhood walks that I am very passionate about.

  1. Fort & Colaba
  2. Bazaars and Markets of Mumbai
  3. Bohri Mohallah
  4. Sewri
  5. Matunga & King Circle
  6. Mazgaon
  7. Gaothans of Bandra (Urban Villages) & Bandra Fort
  8. Jogeshwari Caves
  9. Mandapeshwar, Borivali & IC Colony
  10. Mahakali Caves

I am also keen to collaborate and work with with other creative folks (documentary makers, artists, writers, filmmakers, musicians) who are working on projects featuring Mumbai and Bombay.
