Seeking motivation and inspiration is futile. What one must pursue is the state of flow. When you are so immersed in your task that you forget to eat, sleep and unless an emergency skip going to the bathroom too. Such state of flow during any activity not just while working makes the activity ten times more enjoyable.
But on the other hand, going with the flow is also one other way of living. It’s funny how the same word can mean two entirely different things. Flow as in a state of high engagement and deliberate focus versus allowing the tide of time to wash you over.
Wonder what is it that is better. Alternating between the two seems like a great idea. Trying to achieve flow in everything you do may not always be possible. Being in flow is also exhuasting. Remember what I wrote earlier, you forget your essential needs as your senses align towards the task at hand and ignore other needs.
Whereas ceding control can be scary but when not left with a choice, it could be a pleasant experience.
