It takes a village, they say. Lucky are those for whom the village is ready to band together for individual success. Often, a village is just a handful of people. Your family and maybe a few close well-wishers, who help you to achieve higher goals and successes in life.

Sometimes their role is obvious, sometimes it is obscured by personal glory. There are many instances when it seems like a sheer force of will, of that individual which helped to move mountains. The speed at which you achieve your goals is also a factor of the weight of the shackles around your ankles. These shackles maybe self-built or tied down to you against your own will.

I know some folks who have made it even with the shackles intact. There was no breaking free for them, they just worked around the constraints of these shackles. These folks to me are the most inspiring. Because they don’t seem to be in pursuit of the ideal state. They just hustle until they make it and then some.

Such folks are also lucky, some may say. They just happened to be at the right place at the right time. But I think those folks just keep being at the right place repeatedly until the tracks align. In times of such deep thought, one is forced to wonder how hard it must be to keep showing up even after repeated failures.

A village encourages you to keep trying, keeps you going. Maybe that is the true genius of a support system. It doesn’t actually lead you to success, it just keeps you from giving up.
